EAT & DRINK
Explore the valley with your stomach.
Launceston is a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, so there are many exquisite dining options. Here are some of our favs:

Grain of the Silos for fine dining.
Sports Garden Hotel for honest pub-style dining.
Blue Social for all meals (close to the venue).
Felix Wine Bar for drinks, vinyl and Italian.
Bread + Butter for cafe/bakery.
Du Cane for pizza and beer.
Tatler Lane by Sweet Brew for coffee and other indulgences.
Gourlays for chocolate and sweets.
Launceston is a big country town, true, but its dining scene is humming, so be sure to make a booking to avoid disappointment.

The Tamar Valley is renowned for its wines, so if you have time take a drive beyond the Launceston city limits.
Keep an eye out for cellar doors including:

Entally Estate at Hadspen
Tamar Ridge at Rosevears
Moores Hill at Sidmouth
Jansz at Pipers Brook
Bay of Fires at Pipers River
Lori Vines at Sidmouth
Delamere Vineyards at Pipers Brook

There really are too many to list here, so check out the Tamar Valley Wine Route website or drop in to the Tamar Valley Wine Centre in Exeter to taste all the wines in one place.
Prefer gin? No worries, a trip to the Turner Stillhouse (conveniently located next door to Tamar Ridge winery) is just the thing. We also recommend Brady’s Lookout Cider and Miner’s Gold Brewery, Taproom, and Restaurant in Beaconsfield for those looking for something other than wine. Many cellar doors also serve delicious food with a focus on showcasing local produce.
